Heres to a relaxing holiday...

Traff and I gave up camping 2 days into our 7 as the wind had almost bent our poor tent in half and we had been soaked more times than we cared to count. we just ended up driving rather aimlessly round west wales looking for indoor type things to do.
West wales doesn't have any.

We were staying with my mum for my sisters birthday anyway, so we went down a bit early.

the night before my sisters birthday my dad was taken to hospital with abdominal pains, which turned out to be his gall bladder. he is supposed to be having it removed, although when that will happen is truly anyones guess, so he is in the JR in oxford feeling sorry for himself.

Hopefully he will have his operation soon and be home by the weekend.

Buckingham palace

my father has been rather "indisposed" lately (I will explain in my next post), over my sisters birthday and over my parent's wedding anniversary.
My mum had booked tickets to go to the diamonds exhibition at buckingham palace, and rather than waste the tickets she decided to take me to see them.

I couldn't take photos inside the palace- but it is quite amazing to go round! the jewellery was amazing- I think the russian tiara is my favourite.

after we finished at the palace we had lunch in pret (yummy yummy yummy) and went off in search of my mums primary school- which is a stones throw from the palace. this is the school my mum attended when she lived in the royal mews (when my granddad was a groomsman)
very fancy.

Fenoni Falls

We went to fenoni waterfalls with Bog, Jem, Ross, nat and their children. we had a fire and a chat and the kids played in the water and on the banks in their swimming costumes for like 3 hours!

I wish we'd brought our swimming things :(
