New pjs for pack holiday

Perfect, no?

New phone

Today I finally bit the bullet and got a new phone!
Yaaayyyy!
My old phone is still in really good condition,  which has always made me feel frivolous getting a new one.  However,  my old phone was with 3 and the signal in our new place was non existent.  I don't mind standing in the garden to take a call in summer.  I doubt I'll want to in December though!
It also can't run lotsvof newer apps. I want instagram and pokemon please.
So. I now have a huawei p9. The camera on it is awesome.  I'm excited for instagram!
The only letdown has been that you can't get nice cases for it. I currently have it in a bright pink leatherette wallet case I got off the market for a fiver.  Not cool.

It's BBQ time!

We're finally having a BBQ! The novelty of this is awesome!  5 years of living in a flat without a garden was pretty tough. No fireworks in winter and no BBQs in summer ( Traff did once try and have a BBQ in our parking space but the neighbours were less than delighted). So, here is our first Wiltshire BBQ.  Fingers crossed it's the first of many.

Chuckles comedy club

We spent our Thursday night watching live comedy at meca. It was pretty good actually.  Jay and I spent the day mooching about in town and we spotted posters for it so decided to try our luck.  It seems to be really popular as all the tables were full. Perhaps if we go again we should book in advance. ..

Mermaid hair and roosters

Jenni and I had chores to do today whilst traff was at his job interview. I registered with the doctors to get my hand physio transferred to Swindon hospital- and the receptionist thought jenni was my girlfriend.
Then we got her a travel journal and had a mooch round town.
We met traff after his interview for dinner in rooster- ray's recommendation. It was seriously good.
So, after running around to get a paddling pool we were too busy to go in it!
Maybe later in the week. ..

Mermaid hair in the making

Today jenni and I decided to celebrate leaving our respective jobs and their restrictive dress codes by dying our hair mermaid colours.
We only had one developing cap, and because I am a real gentleman I let jenni have it. So please enjoy this photo of me with a loo roll bag on my head developing the dye.
#1st world problems.
Fingers crossed it'll look awesome and therefore be worth it.

More leaving presents!

I've been even more spoilt today!

Afternoon tea

As we had some money left over from my leaving do at Brogborough, my colleagues decided we deserved a very summery afternoon tea!
This was a completely genius idea and I very much enjoyed that all the cakes were served on brownie birthday party cake stands! haha! mixing interests much?

Helen spent her day off at costco and the technicians spent the morning making sandwiches- I helped put the cakes out, as did may and Suzi- very much a team effort!

Thank you May and Tina for my lauraraptor necklace!

May and Tina got this for me in addition to all the goodies they sourced for my leaving present from the whole department.
This is a truly genius science necklace.
:)

I love it!

Milkshakes with jenni

This was our super unhealthy attempt to beat the heat. The blue raspberry milkshake fron galones was amazing.   I might try and have another one before I head off for pastures new.

Leaving presents from my department

Everyone went crazy! I'm so spoilt but I can't wait to try out my new board boots and American skate socks!
I am genuinely really touched by everyones kindness and generosity as I wasn't expecting this.

Leaving present

These were from my stem club helpers. Such an awesome present!  Now we need brightly coloured dangerous looking alcohol to drink from them!
Erkkk I really am leaving!

Prague

After helping to take the wedding down, Stephan had to return the plates and pots to the catering service and he offered us a lift into prague. it was unplanned and we had no idea what to expect so we literally spent 7 hours walking around.
We followed loads of the signs for historical buildings, climbed a tower and ate loads and loads of food. I love the easter european take on italian food. I also love iced tea - as do the czechs apparently I drank about 6 bottles of different teas to try them all!

Randi and Stu's Wedding

Setting up for Randi and Stu's Czech wedding

Randi and Stu got married at their friends Anna and Steve's Farm just outside the town of Milnek in The czech republic.
Anna and Setev did all of the wedding prep themselves which was just incredible. They let us stay the night in their farm house before the wedding, in exchange we put up tents, set tables and made ourselves as useful as we possible could.

Anna and steve's house was amazing too! So much papier mache

The goat was a wedding gift, and was tied outside the house to show guests where they needed to go. I was work up to a goat protesting about being tied to the gatepost.
