Bank holiday sunday- Cardiff

Cardiff’s Official ‘Big Lunch’ as St Mary Street becomes the place to meet for food, music, merriment and more bunting than you can shake a sandwich at.
The Big Lunch is a very simple idea from the Eden Project. The aim is to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.
As announced by Buckingham Palace The Big Jubilee Lunch will be a part of the main programme of events over the central weekend of Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June 2012. A special 4-day bank holiday - Saturday 2nd to Tuesday 5th June - will take place so there will be plenty of time for you to enjoy lunching in your community.

I met Amanda and beca here when I got to Cardiff! It looked really cool:

loads of bunting, a band, tables with union flag table cloths and entertainers walking between tables.
There was a massive screen up so we could watch the barges going down the thames in London too.
Unfortunately the weather was a bit grey, but it held out just!

I stayed at becas house- she’s recently moved to llandaf and her new house is AWESOME- I’m so jealous:
I want to move back to Cardiff and have an awesome house too!

We went out for dinner in canton to ichiban- we were on our way to see sarah  but she didn’t seem too keen for us to eat take away sushi at hers so we ate our fish elsewhere:

We went to see sarah and Dan as they are expecting a Baby! eeek! lots of congratulations are in order- the baby is due around christmas time, and in 9 weeks they'll be able to tell us if its going to be a boy or a girl.
:D
so we gossiped and drank lots of tea.
