Medieval craft- Quills, Calligraphy and seals

We made quills from feathers by cutting them into a sharp enough point for a nib with scissors, and we used watered down black paint to write with (Gloopy seems to be key!).
Once we had the hang of writing with them on normal paper, we made tea-bag parchment and cooked it in the oven to make it dry out quick enough to use it.
We wrote "Be prepared" in latin. Ominous.
We made stamps to be used with sealing wax from polymer clay, once baked they can be glued to a cork and used with melted candle wax in a colour of your choice.
