Leaving presents

one of the girls in my year 9 class gave me a leaving present today- and a card- I don't know if you can read what she wrote in the card-
I did cry a bit when I read it.

I always think of my job as quite transient. I'm someone the kids see for 10 hours over 2 weeks. I teach a compulsory subject. most kids don't want to learn it. but then, there are always some who do!
