Budapest- Day 1

Firstly, I would like to say that purple parking is both brilliant and disastrous.

We arrived in Budapest at 6pm, so we found our air b&b (I genuinely love the tigers on my bedroom wall!) Then headed out to find food.
We walked to parliament, then found the elyse restaurant, which is in the guidebook (we found that out later!). Hungarian sausage stew! And awesome desserts.
I had forgotten how good the food in here, and actually, how beautiful it is.

We walked to chain bridge for photos too!

Does it really need double yellows?

Pizza night at Tracey's

I cycled to Tracey's on Saturday night as Traff had the car for wrestling.
In theory this was a genius idea. In reality, with my awful sense of direction it was a bit of a nightmare.
I went waayyyy too far and ended up in shaw forest. The views were pretty though! Worth getting lost for!

Tracey taught me to make pizza with figs. And we watched terminator!
Yay!

We drank lots of rum so Traff ended up driving me home afterwards.
My bike remains on holiday.

The Wrestling

So, on Sunday (which feels like forever ago! It's my own fault for being lazy and not updating my blog sooner with my adventures) Traff wrestled for Sacrifice Pro in Leighton Buzzard.

For Sacrifice he tag teams with Mash as 'los palaminos' a washed up rock star and cheesy sleazy vegas club owner, respectively.

It's genius.

Usually I get stuck manning tickets but on this occasion they had merch! So I had an awesome view and my pineapple lights got an outing. 😂

Awesome car customisation!

Letter from Dai

As you know, i'm rather hopeless with technology.
As a result, most of my friends have resorted to more traditional methods of contact!
Dai lives in Paris, and his schedule is definitely crazier than mine, so pinning one another down feels impossible.

I was really pleased to receive this letter and a sample of his animation work (he's working with Johnny Depp!!).
It's exciting!

I have serious drawing envy though...

Nail art fail

My gel lamp came today!

The gel stuff was all ace, I just sucked at the nail stamps!

Total nail art fail!

Not as gross as anticipated

I agar plated my mug, watch, phone and light switch out of curiosity.

My mug looks genuinely disgusting. I figured that the hourly dousing in boiling water would kill most bacteria.

I can now assume my hypothesis to be correct.

I think perhaps more of my belongings need dousing in boiling water... or rubbing alcohol..

Portrait

A student drew this picture of me today!
It's the first time a student has ever drawn me in 7 years!

Make & cake

Today Roz, Ray, Tracey and I went to make &cake at artsite.
We did glass etching which was pretty cool and festive wreaths.
The wreaths started well..

Then got very quickly garish and awful...

Ceramics progress

So, today I finished my sugar skull! Yay! Cake stand a powerstation platter to just finish next session.
The measuring spoons were a disaster, but my mug, pinch pots and pineapples are ready to glaze!

New boots.

I have finally accepted that my old boots are dead.
TKmaxx Bedford has provided a beautiful alternative...

The peacock art trail 2017

Tracey and I are at it again!
This time in Corsham.
We saw the most perfect lawn flamingos ever!

Mash's wrestling themed 30th birthday party

Mash (Traff's wrestling tag team partner) had a surprise birthday party.
We had to dress as wrestlers or comic book characters.

Traff and I went as jai and charlie. Jai went as lee. Lee went as hogan. Charlie went as cena.
It was ace.

Tea also dressed as hulk hogan and had made mini wrestling rings and mash action figures! She also made table centre pieces!
It was epic.
