Munich day 3

Austria

Today we went to Austria.  On the train!  It was ace!
We did crochet on the train too.

We saw all the sights in salzberg.
The love lock bridge and The river

 The iconic metal shop signs

We took the  The cable car to the top of the mountain to see the views and the fortress at the top. Traff tried to use the baby jesus like an FA cup.

 The shopping was epic too
We also visited the cemetery.  Happy days!

In the evening we did some more crafting and had sushi.  I had cheese sushi. Feta and mibt sushi rolls and mozzarella and sun dried tomato sushi.
We also had shnaps.

Munich day 2

Today was a crazy day!  We got up early and headed in to the old town (josh made a breakfast buffet too! ).
We climbed st Peters tower for all the views. Worth the 14 flights of stairs work out.
We were extremely lucky with the weather, it was really cold but also really clear- so we had brilliant views.

After all that exercise we had coffee and then a mooch around the town.

We had dinner in a traditional pub-pork knuckle and dumplings!  Sooo good but so much food, and Traff kept calling it a "moose knuckle" rather than a pork knuckle.

Late afternoon we headed back to the flat. The boys had a nap and Katie and I did crochet.  Hurrah!

In the evening we went out to a sports bar for cocktails and icecream.
On the way back we went to the asian super market and bought schwip swap. Which us the pepsi version of mezzo mix. Awesome.  And White chocolate lion bars. a good haul of drunk corner shop shopping.

Munich day 1

Katie & Josh met us at the airport *with a sign! !
We took the train back to their place,  caught up and mooched and had some beers.
About 9.30 we realised that it was getting late abd we were getting hungry so we headed out in search of food. We went to a really lovely Italian restaurant near their apartment that the they hadn't been to before either.
We really enjoyed the foid and the decor.
After our dinner we headed home for prosecco and radio 6
