Swimming and pie

We had planned paddle boarding, but the wind was still too strong.
Instead we went swimming as Emma is training for a triathlon, then we went for our in the beehive.
And we petted pubcat.

Kitties and waffles and running

We had planned to do park run this morning and then to go paddle boarding.
Storm Hannah ruined our plans!

We ended up watching a David Attenborough documentary for most of the morning before we decided what to do.

In the end we went to the hydro for a run (yay! 5k!)
We rewarded ourselves with a few hours in the Turkish baths.

In the evening we went for Albie cuddles and then made waffles!

Sewing day

Traditional bank holiday sewing day!
We made pyjamas- which was my first foray into trousers.
Very easy. I will be making more.

Then I made a cute wayerwater top. Which was properly challenging. And requires a zipper which I didn't bring.
So I'll be finishing it off later in the week.

Good Friday

Today Traff and I are both off, so we had a date day!
I made fancy cous cous salad yesterday so we could take a picnic lunch out with us.
We ended up lunching in Queens park, then walking up to old town to see the view from nob hill and the cherry blossoms.
We saw Caroline there, painting!

Then a looonngg walk home along the old railway line.

I've spent all afternoon lazing on the lawn with a cushion, drinking cups of tea!
It's perfect.

Maundy Thursday

Our office closes for 5 days over Easter so yesterday I was able to spend time in the sunshine!
I had an appointment in old town so I took a picnic to eat in the gardens.
The cherry blossoms are all out!

Another productive Saturday!

I got up early and did the run that I didn't want to do on Friday night. I ended up doing a 6k walk run (more walk after I fell down a hole avoiding an excited, wet spaniel).
I made a paddle picnic, and re dyed my hair (so that it's faded a bit before trist and Kat's wedding).

In the afternoon, Ellie, Tracey and I went on an epic 10k paddle!

Home improvement pt 3: the electrician

Sorry, to my 6 regular readers! I've sucked at updating this again. But, largely it's because I've been super busy and partly because I've downloaded the Reddit app.

Anyway, we had the floor fitter out from John Lewis last Thursday to do a quick check and confirm the quotes etc.
He found some rather intetesinte wiring to a few of our plug socks and suggested it might be wise to remove them- but otherwise we just need to take the skirting boards off and get our final quotes and we should be good to go!
So the electrician came out on Thursday this week and it genuinely took him 25 minutes to remove them all! It was impressive.

An over productive Saturday

On Friday night, I was feeling a bit rubbish because my run didn't go very well. I was bemoaning my lack of productivity to Tracey over tea and tunnocks teacakes.
I did some more Japanese learning on Duolingo after she left and just mooched about with Marley (she's been so cute lately, sleeping with her head on my boob!)

Then Traff came home from playing football with the lads from work, unable to walk because his ankle "went pop".

I couldn't convince him to go to A&E so we went to bed.
None of us got any sleep for all his huffing and fussing. We got up at 6am, and he conceded a trip to A&E would be wise.

So, an hour and a half and an x-ray later it looks like ligament damage.
We went to Morrisons to get ibprufen and a tube bandage.
Then we both got our hair cut at the cutting bar.
Pretty good for not even 9am.

Once we got back I did an outside run. 3k. Not so awesome but better than nothing.

And then, to paddle boarding!
We went on an adventure. We climbed over the lock at cheese wharf and did a 6k round paddle towards Radcot and back.
It was so muddy!
