On Friday night I Nso'd another mixed scrim. I did go to teainibg on Thursday too but that didn't go so brilliantly.
I can however, say that last nights pentalty box managing was awesome!

Crochet 'easter chicks'

Abi and I tried to make easter chicks following some rather vague instructions from one of her colleagues.
Her department sells them for charity with creme eggs inside and they're keen for more help.
We dutifully followed the instructions and it all ended in disaster.
I would try this again but with clear direction!

I.put the head where the bum is supposed to be so I ended up with an easter dinosaur.

Still lays eggs!

Josh's birthday party

Foggy

It was so white outside this morning I thought it had snowed!
I'm a bit disappointed that it's only fog, but it's still impressive: you can't see the other side of the valley!

Fochriw

I  used to sheep.in the road, sideways rain and distracting views.
This guy was a first though!

Bridge violin

Tats and I headed up to London on Tuesday (hence the china town food!) To pick up a new electric violin that I bought on Gumtree.
Gumtree is always really hit and miss sometimes you get something awesome- in this case- some times you get blatant scammers and other times you get oddities-like the ugly cupboard.

I'm really happy with my new toy! It's barely been used so I think I got a really good deal. It's not silent but its much quieter than my acoustic.

China town

Brd pub quiz!

We lost, but we did get a pretty view of the river.
Its always weird to go out to the pub mid week, especially on a Monday!

Millets farm

On our adventure to Bedford Tats and I stopped off at millets to buy loads of bread... and awesome hot cross buns.

We got cakes from the bakery for lunch and ate them in the 'child free' cafe.
I didn't even know they had one! We were the only people under 70 in there though.

Then we went to see the goats!

Pirogie

Tats made polish food for dinner on Friday!
The best ones are cheese and potato in.my humble opinion.

Standing stones on the cotswold way

Tats and I have been on a neolithic megalith mission!
Today we visited my least favourite stone circle (stone henge- tats had never been before) and my most favourite stone circle (avebury).
It was pretty quiet as the weather was freezing.
It started to snow too!
Very ethereal feeling to be at a 6000 year old religious site and be almost alone in the snow.
These places are both usually crawling with people!

Home now for tea to warm up with. I'll crack on with my crochet cardigan when my fingers thaw!

You can see the snowflakes on our clothes! Look:

Avebury

Geocaching

Tats and I found a really cool cache near stone henge.
It had geo tags (pictured) which get logged on their websites and tracked around the world. Two pictured are international, one from.Norway and one from china.
So now we need to drop two of the tags elsewhere!
Exciting!

Crochet cardigan pt 1

https://thornberry.wordpress.com/2010/05/31/granny-shrug-how-to/

Tats is staying for the weekend and has helped me to trawl ravelry to find a crochet cardigan pattern that I stand a chance of actually completing.

So, an hour in my progress is promising.
Fingers crossed both sides match up ok!

So far I have half a cardigan that would fit a childs doll.
Slow progress but it's looking like it's supposed to. Hopefully this counts as physio for my wrist...

What it is like to live with Ray and Traff...

In this instance I am piglet.

Sushi for charlie

Traff's friend from wrestling has been hinting that he'd like some sushi, today we took pity on him and made him a bento.
Traff's going to drop it over to him at the wrestling tomorrow as they both have a show.
Good deed done.

Afternoon tea in Bristol

For our Mum's birthday we headed out to Bristol for afternoon tea.
It was awesome!
Ray and I are really proud if ourselves as we got her a mac from hobs for her birthday.
I'm always stuck on what to get her, but her last mac isn't waterproof any more so we were certain this was perfect!

Yaay! We're good daughters really!
